Boiler operators play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facility systems in the Maintenance Department. They are responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, turbines, pumps, and other related equipment.

Job Details:

The primary responsibility of a boiler operator is to monitor and maintain boilers, inspect fluids, make adjustments as needed, and record daily readings to ensure safe and efficient operation of systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Update work statuses and document tasks in the CMMS system.
  • Maintain and monitor boilers.
  • Inspect fluids and adjust as necessary.
  • Repair and replace boiler machinery.
  • Record daily readings and adjust equipment for safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness of boiler rooms and related facilities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a maintenance role.
  • Valid driver?s license.
  • Apprentice card in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or relevant trade.
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to use hand-operated construction equipment.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor.
