Job Overview:

As the Chef Manager Senior, you will oversee both back and front of the house operations in the food service departments. Your role involves maintaining a high-quality culinary program, handling financial reporting, menu development, inventory management, and ensuring sanitation standards are met. Additionally, you will be responsible for personnel management, including hiring, coaching, and training.

Job Details:

You will be in charge of supervisory responsibilities, employee training, safety programs, food cost control, team management, purchasing, and inventory control. Special projects and related duties will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team members in compliance with organizational policies and laws.
  • Participate in employee meetings and training programs.
  • Conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
  • Maintain food cost and quality standards in the operation.
  • Manage team development and purchasing/inventory controls effectively.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five years of progressive culinary management experience.
  • Self-starter with multitasking abilities.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP controls, food storage, and sanitation.

Other Details:

Applicants should have experience in P&L, financial reporting, budgets, labor costs, and inventory controls. Knowledge of safe food handling practices and certification in ServSafe or Department of Health is a plus.
