We are looking for an individual to oversee kitchen operations at a small acute care hospital food service account in Pearland, Texas. The role involves directing meal preparation in line with corporate guidelines and programs.
Job Details:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning menus, training kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan regular and modified menus following established guidelines
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and equipment operation
- Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Manage food and non-food inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
- Experience with Microsoft Office and catering operations
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience preferred
- ServSafe certified preferred
