Job Overview:

We are looking for an individual to oversee kitchen operations at a small acute care hospital food service account in Pearland, Texas. The role involves directing meal preparation in line with corporate guidelines and programs.

Job Details:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning menus, training kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan regular and modified menus following established guidelines
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and equipment operation
  • Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules
  • Manage food and non-food inventory
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and catering operations
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience preferred
  • ServSafe certified preferred
