Job Overview:
The Director of Quality Assurance & Safety plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of supplied goods by developing and maintaining QA programs that meet industry standards.
Job Details:
This position requires strong knowledge of Preventive Controls for Human Food, manufacturing, quality assurance, and understanding of FSMA regulations to maintain food safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and execution of food safety and quality programs.
- Develop and maintain the Food Safety Plan.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, sanitation controls, and other food safety standards.
- Manage Allergen Preventive Controls Program and written recall program.
- Oversee food safety audits and respond to customer concerns.
Requirements:
- Travel within Santa Fe and New Mexico is required.
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety.
- Certification in HACCP, PCQI, and GFSI auditor is a must.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA/FSIS regulations and industry practices.
- B.S. degree in food technology or related field.
- Strong communication, coaching, and technical writing skills.
