Job Details:

The primary responsibility is to prepare and file state and local sales and use tax returns, analyze financial data, maintain tax return worksheets, and resolve ledger account variances.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file state and local tax returns
  • Maintain tax return worksheets and procedures
  • Resolve ledger account variances
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Respond to sales tax inquiries
  • Register, renew, and cancel sales tax permits
  • Develop and maintain sales tax knowledge

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Accounting or Tax
  • CPA or CMI certification preferred
  • 2-5+ years of multi-state tax compliance experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP and sales tax software preferred
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
